This page is periodically updated with testimonials from pediatric practitioners and teachers who refer children for my services, as well as parents to children who underwent treatment or participated in one of my programs.

Occupational Therapy Treatment

"My son has made great progress with his fine motor and handwriting skills. He can now draw simple pictures and write words and sentences. His finger strength increased as well, enabling him to manipulate small buttons and complete small art projects. His coordination has improved as well as eye-hand coordination enabling him to participate in more complex games. Lastly, his confidence to complete school work has increased with his improved skills."

"The techniques used to help my daughter with her printing skills were very beneficial and there has been significant improvement in her written output at school. The one-on-one sessions have allowed her to work on motor skills without the pressure of peers (or parents) looking on. She has gained confidence and is more willing to work on skills at home that she previously resisted."

"We have noticed a noticeable change in (child)'s ability to form proper letters. Prior to assistance his spelling was quite poor. Also, his focus and determination when doing homework is better since he knows how to do things with crayons, pencils and scissors."

"Throughout his school life (child) has had difficulty with both fine and gross motor skills, affecting his handwriting in particular. He also lacked confidence and found it difficult to make friends with his peers. Since the treatment, his handwriting has become easier to read and, although he will always find it difficult, he seems to have more energy to learn rather than to focus on writing things down. Physically, he seems much stronger, and is thrilled that he can now complete the monkey bars at school. This has led to greater confidence and he now has a group of friends. (child) seems less anxious, more even tempered and is much better at expressing his feelings to us. We are pleased that (child)'s writing improved but delighted that he has gained so much confidence in himself."

Pre-writing Skills Program

"My 5 year old child has recently completed a Pre-writing skills program facilitated by Ms. Kabazo. He has encountered some gross motor skill difficulties from toddler years. Recently I noticed that he was having difficulty (or showing no interest in) coloring in the lines, writing and drawing. According to The Canadian Health services evaluation, he falls within the perimeters and borders of normal development and motor skills, but seeing the lack of confidence and strong dislike for these activities I suspected that he might have difficulties with fine motor skills.

As he approached Kindergarten, I felt that I needed to address these issues and that's how we discovered Ronit and her program. It was a wonderful and highly beneficial experience for both son and parents. In a relatively short time he improved immensely both physically and emotionally building confidence, improving ability to draw and communicate letters, figures and general strengthening muscle tone in his upper body.

Kid with puzzle He loved going to the sessions and truly enjoyed them. He would constantly ask when his next session was (how many more sleeps) and was very enthusiastic about his home tasks and exercises.

Ronit gave us tools and ideas to make it all much more fun and my son really enjoyed practicing at home as much as the sessions themselves. Ronit has a wonderful way with the kids. She is very caring and calming and through her determination and strong will, gets them to excel and do the best they can each and every time”.

“My son has recently completed the first 10 sessions of the pre-writing skills program and the progress I have seen is remarkable.
While classroom teachers help students learn how to print, and be aware of letter formation, this program targeted the individual needs of my son. There are particular physical skills that are essential in order to improve fine motor skills that as a teacher myself, I was unaware of. By targeting his specific needs in a fun manner, my son was able to strengthen relevant muscles that are pertinent to fine motor development, as well as develop a better sense of the organization needed to tackle a task both efficiently, completely and independently. My son's level of confidence regarding printing, coloring and tackling challenging problems has soared. He is excited to practice his "homework" because he can see the difference in his own performance. By addressing fine motor performance early on, children are provided an opportunity to build the foundation to express themselves in written form.
As children get older the level of "I can't, this is too hard" tends to increase. This program helps children work on improving their skills, before they get to the "I can't" stage”.
