Assessment
The assessment services provided are based on best practices in Pediatric Occupational Therapy and include the following steps:

Standardized and functional tests

Skilled observations of behaviour and quality of movement

Parent interview and questionnaire

Teacher interview and questionnaire

Scoring, summary and interpretation of test results
-
In-depth written report with specific recommendations

Personal session with parents to explain the findings and discuss recommendations


Treatment
Treatment, conducted individually, focuses on promoting the functional independence of the child through therapeutic interventions addressing a range of abilities.
The treatment is multi-sensory, play-based and delivered in a fun atmosphere. Children are given graded activities to encourage their feeling of success and to enhance their self-confidence and self-esteem.
Note: Parents are provided with optional take home exercises to enhance treatment outcome.
